When I attempt to fax a multi-page document, I place the pages in the document feeder and submit the fax number using the small keyboard on the top front of the printer but the printer defaults and scans the scanner glass instead of using the document feeder resulting in a blank page being faxed. How to correct this and force the printer to use the document feeder?

It sounds like your HP 7602 printer is not recognizing the document feeder when sending a fax. Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
Check Document Feeder Functionality
- Ensure Proper Placement: Make sure the pages are correctly aligned in the document feeder, and that the feeder guides are adjusted snugly but not too tight.
- Check for Obstructions: Open the document feeder and check for any paper jams or debris that may be preventing the feeder from working.
- Clean the Feeder Rollers: Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to clean the rollers inside the feeder.
Select Document Feeder as Input Source
- On the printer control panel, navigate to Fax Mode.
- Look for Scan Settings or Fax Settings.
- Select Document Feeder instead of Scanner Glass.
- Retry sending the fax.
Update Printer Firmware
- Go to HP Support and check if there's a firmware update for your printer model. Outdated firmware may cause issues with automatic document selection.
Reset Printer Settings
- Turn off the printer and unplug it for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and restart.
- Try faxing again.
I hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
