Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer series - N911
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently the default name of scanned documents is "Pacific Grove house, legal description0001".  I do not know what or why the name changed?

I want it to be "Scan0001" as it originally was.  How can I make this change?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

 From the scan software, go the "Advanced Settings" and select  "Destination" and rename the "Base File Name" ("Scan") to any name. (or just change it to Scan 🙂

Hi,

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

 

The following resource will help you :

https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

 

Start the HP Printer Assistant (printer icon on the desktop), then select HP Scan.
