Greetings @Patty08,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are looking for an alternate way to make a copy instead of using the buttons on the printer. Happy to help.
Have you tried using the printer utility?
What is the operating system installed on your computer? (MAC or Windows)
An alternate way to make a copy is by scanning the document to your computer and printing it from your computer. Shortcut just for copy is not available.
For assistance in scanning, please refer to the articles below based on your computer's operating system.
HP Printers - Scanning from the Computer (Windows)
HP Printers - Scanning from the Computer (Mac)
For your printer manual, click here.
Let me know how it goes.

I really didn't think there was but I 've missed things before . I did download iCopy and that works just Dandy. All the buttons and scanning and so forth are too complicated for my 80 year old Mother.
Than you for the info
Pat
