How do I receive a fax

HP OfficeJet 4650 all in one printer, I have never used fax so I don't know how to set up my computer with fax, I downloaded the HP Smart app & registered the mobile fax so how does someone fax me?  Do they use my cell phone number that is connected with my Mac?

At this writing:  HP Mobile Fax can send but not receive a fax.

The printer includes built-in Fax hardware.

To Use the Printer's Fax:

You need a landline phone connection and a 2-wire phone cord to connect the Printer Fax hardware to your phone line.

After the phone line is connected, set up the Fax feature.

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Fax > Basic Fax Settings

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Fax > Fax Setup Wizard
