I just got an MFP 4101fdw and want to use the scan-to-computer to scan to specific folders. I'm using the HP Smart app an om PC, and it shows up in the printer's LCD under "scan to computer".

 

How do I specify the destination folders for scanning?

Download the user guide from support.hp.com and refer to the  configure scan to network folder and setup  this function through the embedded web server.

I'm sorry, but the instruction manual is as wrong as any I have ever seen. It refers to "printer assistant", which I cannot find. It says you can get it from 123.hp.com, but I cannot. It refers to a browse button in the EWS for network path, which I cannot find. 

 

Very disappointed in the wildly out of date and outright incorrect documentation and web support of HP.
