Why can't you provide a option to be configured through the printer menu itself? That will be much much easier. I don't have problem with Cannon printer and I have to use it all the time while scanning multiple pages into one Single PDF. Why HP printer does not have this option on the prnter settings menu?

They do have that setting. Make sure Separate file for each scanned page is unchecked.

Scanning issues…
Please try this scan solution:
HP Scan Extended
For Windows: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options.
Make searchable PDFs scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/

There are actually 2 possibilities from the printer itself:
- If you have one side pages to scan, you can just put them into the upper tray and they will scan into a single PDF
- If you have 2 sided pages, you’ll have to scan them one by one on the flatbed scanner. Here is how to do it on a USB key but the same applies to Scan to email:
Scan to USB Drive > Settings > Scan Source > Flatbed scanner >Multiple Pages
Scan your first page then put the 2nd one and press OK and so on until you scanned the last page. Then press Done

I unchecked the box, but it didn't change to the option of scanning multiple pages. It had been working fine until recently. It does, however, scan multiple pages when using the sheet feeder. Should I try reinstalling the software?
