Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Hi I use HP MFP 283fdw, when I scan with HP Smart app I had to order the scanned pages manually (cause the printer does not perform two side scan). A friend has some software from HP (other than HP Smart) which places the pages automatically from 1,2,3 and onward after the scanning is completed.  Could someone suggest where to find the software in question, or simply give me some tip on how to avoid the manual ordering of pages before saving the scanned job. Thanks

Hi @Alekpet,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

The HP MFP 283fdw is a multifunction printer, and it typically includes features that allow you to scan documents with various options, including ordering pages automatically when scanning. To order pages automatically while scanning, you can use the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) feature if your printer has one. Here's how to do it:

Place Documents in the ADF:

  • Open the Automatic Document Feeder (usually located on the top of the printer).
  • Place the stack of documents you want to scan into the ADF's tray. Make sure the pages are neat and properly aligned.

Access the Scanner Function:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the scanner function. This may involve pressing a "Scan" or "Copy" button and then selecting the scanning option.

Configure Scan Settings:

  • Depending on your printer model, you may have a touchscreen interface or physical buttons to adjust scan settings. Common settings include:
    • Scan resolution (dpi)
    • Color or black and white scanning
    • File format (e.g., PDF, JPEG, etc.)
    • Scanning destination (e.g., USB drive, computer, email, etc.)
    • Duplex scanning (if you want to scan both sides of a two-sided document)

Select Automatic Page Ordering:

  • Look for an option called "Automatic Page Ordering," "Collate," or something similar in the scan settings menu. Enable this option.

Start Scanning:

  • After configuring your scan settings and enabling automatic page ordering, press the "Start" or "Scan" button to begin the scanning process.

Review Scanned Documents:

  • Once scanning is complete, the printer should automatically order the scanned pages in the correct sequence in the output file.

Save or Transmit the Scanned Document:

  • Depending on your configuration, you can choose to save the scanned document to a USB drive, send it to your computer, email it, or perform other actions as per your preferences.

Please note that the specific steps and options may vary slightly depending on your printer model and the software/firmware version it's running. If you can't find the "Automatic Page Ordering" or similar option, you may have to contact phone support.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
