I recently was sent this 8610 in exchange for an in warranty printer that died. I must say I love how they send a discontinued/reconditioned one in exchange for a full price one, don't you; and don't offer an extended warranty! I'm sure it won't last through the short warranty!
It has been annoying me that the markings on glass (like where to place top of page to make copies) are on opposite end of where printers normally have them, I.e. the right side when you are facing printer. Every other printer I have owned has it on the right. Of course I don't know where to find a picture of where it is and where it should be. I hate to bring this up when people have more serious issues, but I have an "inquiring mind". LOL
Anyone else notice this, and does anyone know why it is backwards? It did require a short learning curve. Thanks much.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
The Officjet Pro printers are following the Laserjet Convention - hence the placement for documents to scan and copy follow that of the Laserjets (at the top Left hand corner).
Not rocket science but just the way Business users are familiar with Laserjet and the Officejet Pros are meant for business,
Hope that helps!
