I am no longer able to scan to computer with HP Officejet 5740

I don't seem to be able to scan to computer anymore. I get the message "no computer found" but I am able to print...

Can anyone help me

Power off printer.   Wait 2 mins.  Power on printer.   Status now?

Thanks! I now can get into scan to computer but get the message "scan unsuccessfull. Make sure the scanning software is installed and configured." 

Any suggestions?

Make sure you have installed HP Full Featured Software and Drivers to get the scanning software.   All from the HP web site for your printer.

I have  tried that but I keep getting an error message "unsuccessful network installation".

What is strange is that I can print no problem and use other scanning software....

Let’s download and run the HP Print and Scan doctor, what does this say?

Help! I think I did a big mistake. I installed HP installation wizard which told me to uninstall HP printer but now I can't download any of the software or drivers!?!?!
