Hello.
I want to scan some documents but the printer does not work.
When going to Scan > Computer, I can see "Make sure that scanning software has been installed" on the printer.
Similarly, HP smart app says "Make sure your document is within the specs of the document feeder and fully seated in the tray.", even though I insert a sheet of paper.
How can I scan them with HP 250 printer?
I installed the HP Smart App and set it up but I have never inserted a CD attached to the printer yet.
Do I need to use it?

You’re much welcome @cr09 , great to see it is working now!
HP Easy Start used to install the printer only, you shouldn’t see any icon for it indeed.

Hi,
Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.
Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip
As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and try scanning using the HP Easy Scan application and check for any difference.
Note: if you get any permissions problem. see below support document from Apple to resolve a such, due to an issue caused by a recent security update:

Dear Shlomi,
The reason why the documents weren't scanned was I placed them on the wrong position.
Thank you for your big help.
By the way, HP Easy Start icon does not show up in menu. Instead, I am able to use HP Utility and HP Easy Scan.
Is it all right?
