I want to scan my 35 mm slides with the HP Deskjet 3520. Is this possible?

The printer does not support scanning slides or negatives because slides and negatives need to be backlit.

That said, you can build a simple device that provides the back lighting.

Thank you for your support.

I saw a solution with a HP PhotoSmart and hoped it could also be done with my HP DESKJET.

I read the article, but it’s a bit too ‘sophisticated’ for me. I think, I will go to a shop where they will do it for me.

Greetings,

You are welcome.

The answer is not what you hoped, I know.

Good Idea...

Were it me, and I could find an actual photo processing store (these seem to be more rare these days in the US), I would take my slides to have them processed.   If nothing else, having them processed is faster and the results will likely be better.

Stay Safe.
