This is a new printer. I've tried installing from the CD and from the downloadable full install and get the same results. On Windows 7 the fax driver installs. On Windows 10, it's not listed in the list of items that will be installed and it's not there after the install. Is there another way in Windows 10 to connect to the fax on this printer? If not, when will there be a Windows 10 fax driver for it?

Hi,
Download and install the HP Universal Fax Driver below:
Be sure to exract the zip file first (Right click > Extract all files and follow the steps on screen.
Open the extracted folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Run as Administraor.
Once the installation completes, print to the HP Universal Fax Driver print queue and follow the steps on screen to select your printer, then check the box to add a Print Queue for your printer so you may directly select it next time.

Thanks. I was familiar with the Universal Print Driver, but not the UFD. However, this printer is new enough I don't understand why the driver wasn't part of the bundle and why there were no instructions to go get the UFD in liue of it being in the bundle.

While I'm making suggestions, this could be done a lot simpler in the first place. I've used other network printers with built-in fax machines where this isn't a problem. Choosing fax is just a setting in the driver, such as choosing to duplex, so it automatically gets installed with the print driver. If you really want a separate "printer" for this, then you create a copy in the Printers folder, set fax as the default on the copy, and rename the copy to indicate that it's for faxes. This beats the separate driver install.
