Mac to Ventura, the OfficeJet Pro 8600 plus no scan to computer

This concerns Mac version 13 Ventura (not offered above).  The printer is considered off line on the HP sites, yet I can print to it (all wireless).  The option to scan to computer is not available on the printer.. It says there is a new driver, but I believe it's for an older OS.  Are there printer updates for Mac 13 Ventura?  Is that the issue.

After upgrading to Ventura - Spent an hour trying to scan before giving up.

HP Smart app cannot find the printer, but Mac OS can.
Is there a fix?

I understand that you are unable to find your printer on Mac Ventura. I'd like to help!

This could be because it's not compatible with Mac Ventura.

However, you can try Air print. Follow the instructions from this document and see how it goes.

It finds the printer, it scans and sends it to the computer. That's not te issue we are trying to solve.

The scan just shows empty on the pdf sent to Mac.

The problem is:

when it scans a doc and sends it to Mac, the pdf is a blank document.

Can’t find a solution and desperately need one.

I also cannot scan from 8600 to Mac with Ventura installed.  HP Smart is a tolerable workaround that allows me to scan documents and save them on the Mac.   However, HP Smart is slow to start and doesn't have all the features that the Mac scan software had on earlier operating system versions.

Mac software with Ventura OS cannot see scan feature on 8600.  HP Smart is a tolerable workaround, but I miss the integration of 8600 scanning with MAC software.

8600 scanning is no longer working the Mac after Ventura OS is installed.  Almost certainly needs a fix from HP.
