HP PageWide Pro 777z

Hello,

We have a brand new HP PageWide Pro 777z

We are unable to configure Network Scan Function, which is now strangly located under :

Settings > Control Panel Customization > Quick Sets

By entering the network path to scan in this format :

\\xx.xx.xx.xx\Scanner\

and username :

DOMAIN\Username

We always get this message :

The printer is unable to connect to the remote destination. Check your configurations and try again.

the network path is in IP format, so it's not a DNS problem,

the username tried a domain admin, so it's not a permission issue

also tried with a local admin user, so it's not a domain issue.

the share path is perfectly accessible from the printers subnet, so it's not a network issue.

Maybe it will help. Those are my settings.

Hi, have you found a solution for this particular issue yet?

Not sure if this helps anyone, but I briefly had the issue as described. It resulted from my own setting.

From the system sharing the folder, make sure SMBv1 is not set.  This microsoft support article here describes how to view, enable, and disable SMB versions.

Note that simply disabling SMBv1 on my Server 2008R2 system did NOT fix this issue. I had to remove the registry key entirely located here:

HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters\SMB1.

I may have not needed to remove it (after setting it to 1, then to 0 per the enable/disable steps). It perhaps could have been resolved by restarting the system hosting the files. Well I didn't want to reboot my server during production hours!
