I have recently purchased a new Windows 11 laptop.  I have installed my HP Color LaserJet1312nfi MFP printer and it works.  However, today I tried to scan and I can't get it to scan.  I have downloaded the latest Windows 11 driver for the printer from the HP website (for that specific printer) and it still doesn't work.  Any suggestions?  I did see another thread with suggested switching printer, router, computer etc all off and then restart.  That has also been done.  I have now uninstalled the HP software and have removed the printer from the device list. 

 

I should also add that I have downloaded the Print and Scan doctor software from the website and it found a problem.  I tried to get it to fix the problem and it told me to contact customer support.  When I clicked on the link that took me to a page 404  - which is why I am recording the issue here.

 

Any suggestions on how I can get my printer to scan?

I have now resolved this by finding the separate  Scan and Capture app from the Windows Store.  All working now.
