HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

Had the HP Smart App on my iMac and worked fine.  The App itself had an update to fix bugs a couple weeks ago.  Since then when I try to scan from my iMac with Monterey 12.2 version it shows scanning but then the App shuts down and I have to send a report to Apple.  I uninstalled and reinstalled App.  I can get scan to work off my iPhone but does not help with iMac scan.  Suggestions?  I have restarted printer and scanner, uninstall and reinstall app.  Something happened after the last update of HP Smart is all I can figure.

Hello,

Resolve scan connection issues by uninstalling the printer software before reinstalling the latest driver.
  1. Disconnect the printer USB cable from the Mac.
  2. On the desktop, double-click Macintosh HD, click Applications, then click the Hewlett-Packard or HP folder.
  3. Double-click HP Uninstaller, then follow the on-screen instructions to remove the HP software from the computer.
After completing the uninstall, click the Trash icon on the Dock, then click the Empty button.
Note: If HP Uninstaller is not in the applications list, continue to the next step.
  4. In Macintosh HD, double-click the Library folder, then double-click the Printers folder.
  5. Right-click (or Ctrl + click) the HP folder, and then select Move to Trash.
  6. Double-click the PPDs folder, double-click the Contents folder, then double-click the Resources folder.
  7. Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your printer in the list, then select Move to Trash.
  8. Click the Trash icon on the Dock, then click the Empty button.
  9. Click the Apple menu, then click System Preferences.
  10. Click Printers & Scanners.
  11. In the Printers list, click your printer, then click the Minus () button to delete the printer.
  12. Download and run HP Easy Start to install your printer.

I've also had the same issue.  I did the updates on MAC iOS Monterey and HP Smart to no avail.  I get a "Scanning is Currently Unavailable" message when I choose SCAN in the HP SMART App.  Thanks

The only thing I was able to do was use the HP Smart app on my phone and it saved the files.  Pain though as can only do via scanner one at a time and I had 10 pages.  Wanted to do feeder but phone app does not allow selection.

Thank you Mans. Your help is much appreciated.

I am able to use HP Easy Scan and that is okay but clunky and seems to scan into legal size instead of letter size.  I'm trying to use HP Smart App to scan.  Have always used it up until last few days.  Have uninstalled/reinstalled App, uninstalled/reinstalled Printer driver to no avail.  Can print fine from HP Smart App but cannot scan.  Get "Scanning currently unavailable" message.

Worked Mans.  Thank you so much.
