Scanner suddenly stopped working. Printing and copying are fine. Wi-Fi connection is fine. Just updated iOS to Ventura 13.6. Deleted, and reinstalled printer, and just installed new drivers from HP website. Tried the manual test, and the light bar moves all the way across the print bed. When I try to scan, the message says “no document loaded”, even though there is a document on the scanner. When I try to use HP Easy scan, it just stays on “preparing to scan“ screen. When I press scan on the printer, it says “no computer found”. Appreciate any help!

Hi @Grissom13,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you've already taken several troubleshooting steps, which is great. Here are a few more things you can try.
- Check Scanner Settings: Ensure that the scanner settings on the printer are configured correctly. You may need to navigate through the printer's menu to verify that the settings are appropriate for scanning.
- Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting both your computer and the printer can resolve communication issues. Turn off both devices, wait for a few minutes, and then turn tmhem back on.
- Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Your firewall or antivirus software might be blocking the communication between the computer and the printer. Temporarily disable these software programs and try scanning again.
- Scan from Different Software: Try scanning from a different software program on your computer. For example, if you're using HP Easy Scan, try using the default scanning application provided by your operating system (e.g., Windows Scan on Windows or Image Capture on macOS).
- Check Connection: Ensure that both the computer and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, connectivity issues can prevent scanning.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve bugs or compatibility issues.
- Reinstall Drivers: Completely uninstall the printer drivers from your computer and then reinstall them. Make sure you download the correct drivers from the official HP website.
- Factory Reset: As a last resort, you may consider performing a factory reset on your printer. This will reset all settings to their default values, potentially resolving any configuration issues.
If none of these solutions work, it's possible that there may be a hardware issue with the scanner itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for the comprehensive reply! Unfortunately, I've tried all of the steps I was able to perform, to no avail. Appreciate the assistance. I will probably buy a new printer and start fresh and hope for a better outcome.
