Hi all. I have a PC and a Mac, both connected to an HP LaserJet All-in-one printer. On the Mac, I can scan a searchable PDF, but the option is missing on Windows.
Any help please?

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are unable to scan a searchable PDF in Windows.
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software converts the letters in a graphics file to editable text (TST or RTF files).
OCR software is required to use this feature. Open HP Scan software on the computer, and then look for a Save as Editable Text (OCR) shortcut.

If the shortcut displays, select it to scan the item as a document that you can edit.

Let me know how it goes.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Hi Sandytechy20,
I am afraid you did not use the software for my actual HP product, nor did you understand that it is a Searchable PDF. Please see below the link to the software for my specific product, for Mac and Windows:
If you install both, Mac and Windows, you will see the difference.
Thank you for your effort though.

Thanks for the reply.
I appreciate your time and effort.
I am sending you a private message. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.
Cheers.

I do not see why you had to send a private message with the information you sent, but anyway. Step 2 of your message was missing. Also, it would be wiser to check the issue from your end by installing the software on both platforms, Mac and Windows and investigating it from your end. My issue is quite clear, and I shouldn't have to explain it "over the phone".
Thank you.
