After our old HP Touchsmart 300 finally died several weeks ago, I migrated everything to a somewhat more youthful HP Pavilion 251-a244.  The problems began when I tried to install our Photosmart c4280 printer/scanner onto this desktop. I had great difficulty installing the printer however it is now working. Scanning however is not. Windows Scan and Fax and HP Scan and Capture do not even recognize the 4280. The HP Scan Doctor informs me that I need to download the complete software solution for this device, but I cannot find that. HP Smart does not recognize it either. Does the Windows supplied driver that I am using having scan features in it? Thanks for your help.
