While I can print with no issues, my printer status is unknown, I can't see ink levels, and I can't scan.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer but am still having the same problem. Working from home and I really, really need the scan function.

Hi,

Search for HP Smart, right-click HP Smart and select App Settings, then press Uninstall.

 

Reinstall the HP Smart from the MS Store and check for any difference:
