Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 28020e All-In-One

I have a relatively new (few months old) HP OfficeJet Pro 28020e All-In-One. Every few minutes (feels like 3 to 5 minutes), the printer will wake up, say Scanning.... and then popup a message saying "The scan has been sent successfully".

 

I do not have Scan to Computer enabled.

 

I have gone through a Secure Erase and then a hard reset. Still happens.

 

There are no jobs in the print queue on our laptops that we use... both are MacOS. I have checked all the alerts and logs on the printer... nothing. When I do scan a document using HP Easy Scan or HP Smart, it works fine and I am able to save files where I want on my laptop.

 

Went through 20 minutes of checks with HP Tech support before doing a hard reset. Still have the issue.

 

I am afraid I will wear out and break down the scanning mechanism.
