Hi,
SMAR THRU OFFICE is a software provided for Samsung printers, it have nothing to do with an HP printer and cannot be used together.
You may install the HP Full Feature or Basic Software by following HP Easy Start below, be sure to select any of below options to install HP Scan:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/COL96741/HPEasyStart_12_7_11.exe
You may also scan using HP Smart
Ensure the Scan Resolution is set to 300 DPI or lower and then you should see a plus button to add pages to your scan job, once you are done save the scan:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2275901-2074064-16
