HP Recommended

I've tried everything to resolve the Scanner 13 error. The printer prints, but the display for all the functions for the printer is obscured by the Error Code.  How do I fix this error?

When I attempt to reinstall, it only goes so far and then I get a blank white screen. I then click on the X in the upper right corner and the following message appears.  I click on continue but nothing happens.
