(2024/01/04) I attempted to use the Virtual Assistant chat box for help from the official HP website, and was redirected to a scammer instead of customer support. 

Can HP check the Virtual Agent chat logs?
 
Flow of Events:
1. Had an issue with setting up my printer
2. Went to the support page:  support.hp.com/au-en
3. Used the Virtual Assistant tool, provided my phone number
4. Received a call from the help center administration
5. The technician requested remote access.
6. The technician told me I had a trojan virus and began to install unrelated software (Screenshots attached)
7. I cut the call and connection.
 
As seen in the event flow, legitimate contacts to your support center are being diverted to malicious actors. This is a serious risk to the HP business, and has hurt my trust in HP.
