HP 3630 Deskjet
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I open the HP Scan dialog box, I find that the image is too large. I can't access the blue button at the bottom. When I try to move the box, it immediately jumps back to its original position. The result is that I can't scan. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you resize the screen resolution to 100%?

1. Right click on the desktop and go to Display Settings

2. Under the "Change the size of text and apps and other Items" to 100%

3.  You may need to play around with the "Resolution" settings as well.

4. Save settings and restart computer.

Hope that helps!

I  changed the resolution to 100% as you suggested but that makes script too small. I've gone back to Medium. Is there other software I can install?

Hi @Skeeter-7xx

Perhaps try this standalone software:

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Hope that helps!.

The HP Scan Extended didn't affect the size of the dialogue box. I've decided to go with the reduced size and just get used to the smaller script.

Thanks.

I am having the same problem with my envy 7640. Rather than live with the smaller font, I find I can rapidly Tab down to the Scan Button that is hidden under the Taskbar, then hit enter. It is a nuisance but works. I then do the same thing on the next screen to Save the Scan to a particular file. Too bad HP doesn't fix the underllying problem. Love their Printers, but service sucks! They want to be paid to identify their problems.
