We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

When I click on the "HP CLMJ477 SCAN" shortcut icon OR go to the Start button, programs, HP, find the scan feature of the printer, I get an error.   It says the Scan was not found. 

 

The only way I can get the printer to scan to the laptop is to go into the devices/printers, right mouse click and then select start scan.  The printer is connected via USB.  It was installed and uninstalled twice, rebooted both the printer and laptop multipul times.  still does not work.

 

please help.

Can you try this alternative scan software :

 

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Let us know if that works.
