Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP 8720
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I have completed and received a 'setup successful' message in teh HP Utility application for Scanning to Email service on my 8720.  I have restarted the printer itself.

Each time I tap the Scan to Email option a 'You must Sign In First' message is displayed.  If I have successfully set up Scan to Email, shouldn't the printer know this and allow me to scan my document to email.  There does not appear to be a place to 'sign in' on the printer itself.

Color me frustrated!

Hi,

Wwipe down your finger from top to bottom of the screen and tap the WiFi or Ethernet icon, then locate the IP address of the printer.

Browse that IP from your browser and click on Scan > Scan to Email > Scan to Email Setup and confirm any security warning.

Set To as Blank, From as Default From and press Apply, then it will no longer ask to sign in first.

Thanks.  Root Cause was the utility defaulting to the value of To: Signin Required without explanation.

Changing to Default From solved the issue.
