Hello-
Seeing as MIcrosoft is doing away with basic authentication methods in short order, I am working on setting my up HP LaserJet Flow 78330 to use OAuth for scan-to-email. I upgraded to the lastest firmware. For this unit, that is firmware bundle 5.8.1.2. After upgrading the firmware, OAuth is available as an authentication option for scan to email. Prior to stepping through the scan-to-mail server setup wizard I disabled IPv6. Seems as though it works far better that way, at least in my environment. I am able to step through the wizard, obtain the validation token / login as the scan user, and get all the way to the final screen. However, when I attempt to send a test email, it fails.
Edit: Go figure - I just tested it again and was able to send a test email. Bizarre. As a side, I have checked all of the following:
1. Entra security defaults disabled.
2, No conditional access policies in place.
Will update this post as I encounter new issues. Problem seems to be somewhat intermittment.
