Hi,
HP Laserjet computers do not support scanning to a computer by the HP Software.
You see a Windows 10 PC due the WSD scan discovery method of the Windows 10 OS, this is a Windows 10 feature which launches the Windows software only, not a feature provided by the HP Scan software which is not involved in a such, and will not be available on other operating system other than Windows 7, 8 or 10.
To scan use the Scanning software on your Linux computer or set a Scan to Email or Scan to a shared folder to scan directly from the printer front panel.
