I am having difficulty scanning to email on my HP Officejet 6600 all in one printer. It had been working fine for 5 years. Now I get a processing error when I try to scan - The message is ..Try again or install a firmware update. I troubleshot with HP and their HP Print Scan Doctor for Windows but did not find a solution. HP said I didn't need a firmware update. The Scan Doctor software said it could NOT communicate with my printer? My printer has a wireless connection that is working and I have been printing documents all morning. I also unplugged and rebooted my router and my printer and (shut down and restarted) the printer again and got the same processing error message. Any ideas how to fix?

Hi @AngelaG2,
I'd like to help!
Let's try a power reset on the printer
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
