I have this new issue that I have never had with the scan to email function.  It has always worked perfectly and nothing at all has changed.  It gives and error that username and password are incorrect. There is no where to put in a username or password.  I have even reset to factory settings as if it were brand new.  I still have the same message..  I have even tried multiple email addresses.

Please clarify which email provider do you use, this is likely related with any security change of the email account itself.

Hello, I have a (verizon.net) email that is through AOL.  However, I tried to kink it to me Apple (me.com) email address and I am getting the same issue.

Please try using an App Specific Password for Verizon mail:

Hi,
Please follow below steps to set up a g-mail account.

 

First, open the following link and login to the same account as you set for the printer.
https://myaccount.google.com/security

Within the Signing in to Google section, be sure to turn on "2-Step Verification":

https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185839?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid

 

Next, create and use an App-Specific Password with the printer:
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en

 

Once completing the changes update the outgoing email profile password to use the App Specific Password and then click Save and Test to ensure the problem has been resolved.
