Hi @Nadajak

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your post on how you cannot scan to email with your HP printer. I am happy to help!

Some questions for you:

  • What type of HP printer do you have? example: HP Officejet 8600.

  • How is the printer connected, Wireless, Ethernet, or USB?

  • What version of iOS are you using? http://www.whatsmyos.com

In the meantime, please try a hard reset, by following the steps in this post, How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the printer's power cable is plugged directly into the wall outlet, and not a surge protector.

I am new to Office Jet Pro 6978 printer. I want to establish scan to email.  I get to the point where it wants to send me a pin, but it has the wrong email address.  I am unable to change the email address.  It allows me to change it, but when I ask for a new pin, it reverts to the incorrect version of my email.  How can I get the program to recognize the correct email?
