I recently updated to Catalina OS and the Scan to Network Folder function stopped working on my printer. It tells me that the user credentials are incorrect although I know they are correct.

@Frtr8ted, Welcome to HP Support Community!
I understand you have issues with scanning to network folder on your computer, this could be an issue with connectivity or the settings.
Firstly, update the printer firmware. Download available firmware updates from the HP website. With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.
If the issue persists, try resetting the scan to network folder and try again.
For further assistance, may I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
Keep me posted.

I did as you suggested but have concluded that my error was that I was trying to scan to a folder in my computer that was a subfolder of a folder that was not being shared. Once I shared the parent folder, then it worked.
I also tried to one of the apple generated folders for the user like "Documents" and was not able to scan to this folder no matter what I did.
Thanks for your help,
Pablo
