HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer

The scanner rollers are not feeding the paper through evenly and the scans come out crooked.  I took it in to be fixed.  The tech said I should update my software.  I have tried doing that, but the circle keeps going around and around and nothing happens.  I also clicked on my downloads and HP says they can't find my printer.  My computer can find it just fine.  It's hardwired so it's not an ethernet issue.  I suspect that's not the problem anyway, but I wouldn't mind updating my software.

Another tech told me that printers are basically disposable and I should just buy a new one.  I paid over $400 for this thing.  If HP thinks that is a cheap disposable item they're mistaken.  That's not the case in my economy!  The printer works just fine.  I'm just fed up with crooked & skewed scans.  For what it's worth I'm running Sonoma 14.5 which wasn't an option on HP's dropdown menu.  How do I get this thing fixed!

The printer works fine.  It's just the scanner which uses a separate set of rollers from the printer.
