I frequently scan documents from Adobe X PRO. Adobe raises HP scannig software to scan the pages. After scanning a page, Adobe asks you to decide if you have finished scanning or you want to continue scanning. If you continue scanning he raises again HP scanning software and so on until you decide to finish. I have two scanners. When I scan with HP Photosmart B110 everything is fine. When I scan with HP MFP 135, Adobe, after scanning some pages, tries to connect with HP scanning software but he has no way to bring HP scan software to life again. The system simply aborts; all windows close, I lose the already scanned pages and I must begin again from the outset. It happens after scanning an undetermined number of pages: can be 20 pages, 5, or even after 1 page. It is not as simple as to say it is an Adobe problem, for HP Photosmart B110 (a scanner I use since at least 10 years ago) has NEVER failed a single time to scan a single page with the same system.

Thanks for your answer. HP MFP 135 scanning software is up to date, as confirmed by the tools available at HP support page. Adobe X PRO has the latest update (although the support is discontinued). The scanning settins are the basic ones. HP Scan and Capture do not present additional problems. All other application closed, the problem persists. Smaller batches of even two pages fail (just after the first, the second fails), but the number of pages until fail is rather random. I have reinstalle HP and Adobe software without any success. No error messages appear.
Some other useful hint?
