Scanning does not work on HP Envy Photo 7800 Sries

I have had my combo printer, scanner, copier for about 6 months. And I just tried to use the scanner portion, and I keep getting an error that gives me a list of reasons why the scanner can not scan to my computer. I have a USB connection, and I print on this printer all day long, make copies. But the scanner will not work to save my life. I have tried using HP scanner printer doctor, it will scan a test page, but if I try to scan something that I want to scan, it will not work.

Can you download and install the HP FULL Solution Software for your operating system:

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Thank you for your response, but that did not help either. It has not changed that it will not scan a document, and will give me an error saying that it is not connected to the computer. But it is, and it prints just fine.

I also wanted to be more clear, I am not using a wireless connection for the printer, as I saw that you sent me a video link on how to set up a wireless connection. I am using a USB connection, and will not be using a wireless connection.

Hi,

Try an Uninstall and Reinstall of the software and then select "USB" at the Connections selection.

Plug in the USB cable only when prompted.
