Hi @Tansie,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I understand that you would like to know how to combine a multi-page document into a single file. I would like to assist you with this.

I would try the steps within this guide, HP Multi-Function Printers - How to Scan: Mac OS X v10.6.

How to scan a multi-page original into a single file

Follow these steps to scan a multi-page document into a single file.
NOTE: The HP software does not support scanning multiple photos into a single file.
You can scan from the scanner glass or from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) tray, if your printer has one.
NOTE: If your printer does not have an ADF and you are scanning a multi-page document, you will need to load each page on the scanner glass one at a time to scan the document.
  1. Make sure the printer is turned on and that it is connected to the computer.
  2. Load the document.
    • Scanner glass
Place the document print side down on the scanner glass, and then position it according to the guides around the glass (usually on the right-front corner or the left-front corner). Close the scanner lid.
    • ADF
Place a single-page or multi-page document into the ADF tray. The printed side faces up and the top edge goes into the tray first. Adjust the width guides to fit the document.
Step two: Scan with HP Scan software
The steps to scan with HP Scan software vary according to the version of the software that installed with your HP printer. Choose your version for steps to scan a multi-page original into a single PDF file.

  • What version of HP Scan software do I have?
Follow these steps to see what version of HP Scan software you have installed on your computer.
    1. Open Finder, and then go to Macintosh HD/Applications/Hewlett-Packard.
    2. Right-click or CTRL-click the HP Scan Software icon, and then click Get Info.
    3. Locate the version number in the General properties in the HP Scan Software Info window.

Hope this answers your question. Thank you for posting!

For M125 (windows 10):

-  Open the scanning software

-  Choose Normal scanning

-  Choose advanced options

-  Choose the tab "File"

-  Uncheck the option square

-  Scan 1st page

-  Put the 2nd page on the glass
