Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

After upgrading my MacBook Pro to Sierra the document feeder on my HP Office Jet 7612 will feed only the first sheet of paper to be scanned and then page feeding stops.

This is how I have developed a workaround:

1. Downloaded the HP All-In-One Printer Remote app from the App Store to both my iPhone and iPad and I am able to scan multi-page documents from the page feeder using this app.  I am able to save the scanned document as a JPEG or a PDF, edit it and then email it to myself.  Oddly, after scanning a document using this app the printer/scanner is not recognized and I have to delete the app, download it again from the app store and reset the settings before scanning my next document.

2. I have Windows 10 installed in the Boot Camp partition and I can scan multiple pages using the HP printing/scanning software using Windows 10 on my MacBook Pro.

It would be a lot simpler if HP would release scanning software that is compatible with Sierra.  It has been almost 2 months since the final version of OS 10.12 Sierra was released and HP still does not have software available for download.

IIndoil...Thanks for your help!  As you noted the fixes that you creatively found are far from Ideal.  I agree with your conclusion that HP has to fix their stuff!

I have had all of the problems that you mentioned.  EasyScan did not work either but I didn't try going to a USB, I just moved onto other issues.  Today the EasyScan worked -I don't know why but I can tell you it is working over the same old WIFI without issues.  I have only scanned a single sheet and not investigated any other features of the easyscan.

I am wondering why EasyScan started working -I don't think that I have even rebooted since I last saw it was broken.??

Where is the Fix HP????

I have a C6280 printer/scanner that will not work as a scanner in the new Sierra version of Mac OS (printer works fine).  Tried deleting and reinstalling printer and scan feature does not work.   Installed HP Easy Scan (ver. 1.7.0) and it cannot find the scanner.  Tried HP Easy Start, and the scanner is not found.  These issues occur whether connected via wireless or USB,  For the HP Easy Start, confirmed Bonjour is working and also tried specifiying IP address -- nothing has worked.  Apple tech support also unable to provide solution/recommendation.

Been several weeks since the OS update.  Surprised no driver solution is available yet.  Any idea when this will be fixed?

I have another data point ...I had a problem with Quickbooks loosing compatibility with the Sierra release.  Intuit complained that there was a big change in Sierra, they implied that Apple had not given them an appropriate release early enough to get their product ready.  Because they had a newer version of the Intuit software version availible, that does work,  it seems that the magnitude of the Sierra change hit them hard.  Of course this is even more problamatic for them since the Mac customer base is much smaller than the PC base

I JUST TALKED TO A HP SUPPORT PERSON WHO ADVISED ME THAT HP AND APPLE ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM.  SINCE APPLE INCLUDES THE DRIVER IN OS 10.12.1 HP WILL NOT BE FIXING THIS PROBLEM.  HE SAID THE APPLE PROBABLY WILL INCLUDE THE FIX IN AN UPDATE, HOPEFULLY OS 10.12.2.

IN THE MEAN TIME, HP EASY SCAN IS A SOLUTION.

None of the solutions solve the problem. I have the latest software for my brand new Officejet 8610, which worked perfectly until I stupidly 'ugraded' to Sierra. Now I cannot scan to computer - I wish to be able to edit text and it just wont let me. This is totally frustrationg. Please HP upgrade your software to overcome this issue.

Easy Scan is NOT the solution to the document feed issue for the HP Office Jet 7612.  I have found other workarounds that I posted last week, but still HP should fix this problem with updated drivers for the Sierra OS.

I have an Officejet J6480 nad it no longer recognizes the scanner even using easy scan.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just recently upgraded to MacOS Sierra (MacOS 10.12).  Since then, my HP Photosmart 7525 will no longer allow me to save scans to the computer.  The Save button is grayed out and unable to be clicked.  It will copy, print, and will scan the documents, I just can no longer save them to my computer.

When I go into the HP Utility>Settings>Scan Settings>Scan to Computer, the software scans my system, then gives me an error message that says,

"Scan to Computer Cannot Be Enabled

The HP software required for Scan to Computer could not be located on this computer. Please download and install the latest HP recommended software for your device from http://www.hp.com/support, and then try again."

I completely uninstalled the old driver software (which HP says should work on any Mac OS after 10.6) and reinstalled the latest drivers which it says is compatible for 10.11 and later.  I still get the same response.  Printer will print, will copy, will scan, but not save to the computer.

Yes, I have already restarted one device at a time, and yes, I unplugged and replugged every device in separately.

What can I try next...?

Like everyone else, I upgaded to MacOS Sierra (10.12), and I can no longer scan to my HP Photosmart 2610.

I downloaded the HP Easy Scan app and tried that as suggested, and it doesn't work with my scanner either.

I can still print. I just can't scan.
