I wish that worked for me. It opens but nothgin it scanning. All I see is a details button, but clicking it just shows an empty scanning window and no action.

Have you tried turning off (completely) both your MacBook Air and your scanner, then turning them back on (in that order)?

I am an IT consultant whoactually used to work for HP so generally I try everything before reaching out to support communities. I believe that HP have failed to test their drivers with Sierra.

 

My laserjet pro 200 was an expensive bit of kit and the reason I invested was so that I could easily scan docs etc. After the Sierra upgrade scanning to a folder/Imac stopped working.  I have also tried Easy scanner but that doesnt work either _ HP need to get they techies sorting this out, they have a problem. Are you listening to us HP??

I have done EVERYTHING on this forum and finally today I monkeyed with this setting and it worked!!!!!  I took it off airprint, looked for some other software, couldn't find any, and when I went back to Airprint the choice for the HP printer was a little different, and I chose it, and scan worked again.

 

So exciting. thank you.

For the HP6520... I ended up having to "Scan to email."   It takes a while and is a pain in the ear, but it is doable.
