Hi Brandon, Thanks for your help! My friend is very pleased that her scanner is working again even though she needs the app. Cheers, Nina

HP Easy Scan uses IP Printing where as the default setting uses AirPrint.  Can one of you reconfigure the printer to use (System Preferances -> Printers & Scanners, remove your printer and add again) AirPrint instead of "Secure AirPrint" and check if that works?.  Its hard to believe that Apple made some changes in the driver level that broke all printers 😞

I cannot try that since the issue is with a friend's Mac. I remember though that it was difficult to add the printer via airport. Interesting suggestion though!

Two alternatives

1. Open your browser, type in the scanners IP nr like 192.168.1.111

if the scanner have a webinterface you can scan from here.

2. Download VueScan from www.hamrick.com (free testversion) for me it was very fast to download and install and the scanner was found in seconds. Scanninig was possible with a watermark. I paid for it and the watermark was gone. (You will recive an email with three codes to register in the software (I think you can use up to four of your own computers on one licens.)

Hi I have the same problem with my Envy 5540 on OSX Sierra! Tried all the supposed fixes and none worked! Had a similar problem with another HP Printer.

HP's software sucks!!

Followed an idea by one person that is to use the Apple image scanning software, guess what it worked a treat.

Thanks to the guy how posted that fix.

Hi everyone,
I have a similar kind of problem. After I installed Sierra mcOS the hp flatbed 5590 scanner did not work.
I updated the drive with the last version (HP_ScanJet_v2.4.3) and the scanner works properly again, except than the pages concatenation in pdf format.

An hidden file remains on disc. The hidden file contains the not concatenated images.

I'd like communicate this matter to the developpers.

Hope this helps.

Have the same issues with my Envy All-In-One 4520.  Took OS back to El Capitan and it works as it should. With that being said HP should keep up with an OS that was realeased over a month ago
