HI HP forum,

 

I have problems when scanning with my HP LaserJet MFP M130nw. It is connected to a Windows 10 computer via a wireless router.

 

I am using the HP Smart Windows 10 program. When using low DPI settings everything works fine. But when using a high DPI setting problems occur. The program doesn't progress from the scanning setup screen to the scanning result screen. No matter how long I wait. The scanner/printer is then stuck in the "scanning under progress" mode and can't be used until restarted.

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

Can you try this standalone Scan software:

 

HP Scan Extended

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

 

This post will show you how to scan at high dpi:

Hi greenturtle,

 

Thank you for the suggestion.

 

Unfortunately, when I try to open the Scan Extended program I get the following error message (translated from Swedish):

"HP image processing unit couldn't be found".

 

Do you know how to resolve this problem?

Try downloading the FULL feature software then:

 

HP Laserjet Pro MFP M130fw: Connect Wirelessly, Download & Install Software
