I normally initiate my document scans using the printer/scanner touch screen and they all, once scanned, get stored as Scannn.pdf within my Documents folder. How can I permanently change the target folder as I cannot find the option within the printer/scanner menu.
If it needs to use an HP program on my PC then please advise which program and how to install as gthe only related program I can find installed is HP Smart. However, I also cannot find the option within HP Smart either.
Thanks

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
Use the Destination setting in HP Scan to set the Save To Folder location on your computer.
-
Search Windows for HP, and then select your printer.
HP Printer Assistant opens.
-
Click Scan, and then click Scan a Document or Photo.
HP Scan opens.
-
Select a shortcut, and then click Advanced Settings or More.
-
Click Destination, and then click Browse.
-
Select the folder in the Browse for Folder window, and then click OK.
-
Click OK or the Save icon
in the shortcut.
Let me know if this helps.

Thanks Betty
.
As I said when I reported the issue, I use the printer touchscreen to initiate the scans and this seems to ignore any options that I have been set in 'HP Scan and Capture'. By using the touchscreen, docs get saved in Documents folder even though within 'HP Scan and Capture' the default folder for Document Scanning is set to 'My Scans'
