HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

I recently bought this printer/scanner and want to setup scan to email. but there are a couple of old email address that I don't have access to and they require a pin to remove.

I have followed the instructions in the link below, restored the printer to factory defaults and have removed and reinstalled the web services and still have the old email addresses.

Does HP support actually look at these forums or are we just left in the dark while the Monolithic Corporate gaslight us by saying we don't actually have any issues?

Hi @AbeAbe1

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To remove old email addresses from your HP printer's scan-to-email feature, especially if they require a PIN you don't have access to, you can try the following steps:

Reset Web Services:

  • Access the printer’s control panel.
  • Go to the "Setup" menu, then "Web Services."
  • Select "Restore Web Services Defaults" or a similar option. This may help reset any saved email addresses.

Factory Reset:

  • If resetting web services doesn’t work, you can perform a factory reset on the printer. Be aware that this will erase all settings.
  • Go to the "Setup" menu, then look for "Printer Maintenance" or "Restore Factory Defaults."

HP Smart App:

  • Use the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device. It may offer a way to manage email settings directly, allowing you to remove old email addresses.

Contact HP Support:

  • If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, it’s best to contact HP Support directly. They can provide specific guidance and might have additional tools to help you reset the email addresses.

Account Recovery:

  • If possible, try recovering access to the old email accounts to get the PINs. This might be a long shot but could work if you have recovery options set up for those accounts.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
