HP Recommended

Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e

Problem: Unable to change default size from Letter to A4 when using the scan function through my printers screen.

This has caused numerous delays in sending documents out to other teams as we find that parts of the document has been cut off. The majority of people using A4 in this world, so why is this the default option!

I have seen a couple threads with a similar issue, but haven't seen any update or proof of product feedback being made.

Welcome to the HP Community --

According to the documentation, the printer supports Digital Send features

Digital Sending Standard FeaturesScan-to E-mail; Scan to network folder; scan to SharePoint; Scan to thumb drive

The exact steps to get what you want depend on the type of printer Scan and the method used.

User Guide - HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e Series

Pages 33-34

Using the basic method to scan, there are no defaults assigned.

What else?

You can choose to use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to create a "Quick Set" for each of the supported Scan types.

Job Defaults can be assigned -- page / paper size is one of the settings that can be set.

EWS > Scan > Scan to Network Folder > Job Defaults

EWS > Quick Sets provide more control over the Scan process.

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Scan > Scan to Network Folder (Job Defaults)

and

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Quick Sets > Add / Edit / Copy / Delete Quick Set Profile
