I purchased a new Dell Desktop in January 2020.
Since then, I have been trying to install HP Officejet 7610 series scanner, but it does not work through HP Smart Software, although it is working with Windows Fax and Scan Software.
The machine is connected to the desktop through ethernet cable.
Can any one help me in diagnosing the problem please?

Try to uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04675142
If the issue still persists, please download and install the software from here:
https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
