Unrecoverable Jam message - HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw

One day I was trying to scan a document in my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw and it didn't even try to feed but displayed a jam message on the screen.

Opening the feeder and closing the feeder did not clear the jam message. It was not possible to clear the message from the display once it was there and the only way to get it to go away was to power cycle the printer.

This same cycle continues to happen if I try to feed a document through the feeder.

Flatbed scanning is unaffected.

I've very carefully examined the document feeder and there are no jams that I can find. There appear to be no broken parts or small microswitches or any other issues with the feeder. It just immediately issues a warning and then stalls the printer.

Any help would be appreciated.

And if the issue still persists, this could be a hardware issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
2. Select the country.
3. Enter the serial of your device.
4. Select the country from the drop-down.
5. Click on "Show Options".
6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
