same issue, "username or password are incorrect"
have re-installed, have deleted and redone files, have reset email, have done factory default reset, have reset scan to email, still the same.
Why on earth is this such an issue and why does it repeat through so many threads HP?
Why does the issue arise when the printer/scanner has been working fine and then all of a sudden stops?
Do you know or is it all guesswork and you really don't have a clue and just hope the hapless customer blunders into a an answer sometime.?
Is it a printer issue at all or are your techs not savvy enough and its really a network issue? How is the customer supposed to figure that out?

Hi there. So go to your desktop and there should be a HP software installed for printer. You have to reset the username and PW via software NOT on the printer itself. I thought you had to do it all on the printer.
