Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Support Community. There is an "Save as Editable Text (OCR)" option with the HP FULL software.
Can you download and install the HP FULL Solution Software for your operating system:

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
Use this software to scan, this example shows how to scan 2 sided document and the "Save as Editable Text (OCR)" can be seen at time 1:46.
