Hello. I'm trying to scan from HP OfficeJet 4655 to Windows 11 desktop via HP Smart app. When I click Scan, I get message "Scanner is in use". HP Smart recognizes my printer. I also tried scanning from printer to computer name and it also fails.
Any suggestions?

Here's what you need to do:
- shut down printer via on/off switch
- switch off the router
- shut down the computer
- wait about 60 sec.
- switch on the router, wait until the router has completely initialized itself again
- Switch on the printer, wait until the printer has finished its initialization
- switch on computer, log in (with admin rights) and wait about 10 sec.
... and now everything's working again?
If not, then:
- Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list.
- Restart the PC
- Close all programs
- download only this complete package: HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software (Internet connection required for driver installation)
File name: HPEasyStart_16_4_5.exe (16.4 MB) - Close all programs
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE, see above
- The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
- Restart the System again
- Now the installation is complete.
Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
