When saving a scan to pdf, the document saves as blank pages

That's strange. I have that same version of HP Easy Scan (I got it at the Apple App Store) and under Preferences I have 2 things to click on -- "General" and "Scan to Computer". Rotate and Background are under General.

Thanks again.  I will delete and reinstall the Easy Scan app just to see if I can get it to stop the blank pages saving to desktop or give me your settings choices.

I did find a  multi-step work-around:  In the "Printers & Scanners" system settings (Ventura) item for the MacOS, you can choose your printer and select the open  "Open Scanner" button.  This will allow you to open the scanner, scan documents, and save them to the desktop.  Although the controls are not very clear I did get it to work to save single and multi-page documents to my desktop.  But it is no where as easy as the "Easy Scan" route!

Thank You this was the FIX I needed.  Set Easy Scan to PDF "searchable" .  TY!

Much easier solution!

Instead of saving it to a folder, simply use the print option.  Then select it to save the .pdf file to wherever you want it.

Quick and easy.  The idea that HP is telling people they need to buy a new printer for this is a rip.

I'm using a fairly old HP Laser Jet.

Haven't been able to sell my Envy 6255, so I'm just going to hang-on to it.

When saving the file, change the Save As from PDF to PDF-searchable.  You will find this option if you open the drop down box.  This worked for me.
